Since the introduction of the MacBook Air there have been a couple of complaints from the community. The lack of ports and the battery that can’t be replaced without taking it back to an Apple store. I personally don’t think either of these things are a drawback because it is what it is, the thinnest laptop known to man with some pretty impressive hardware under the hood.

Although with anything new there are the people out there that enjoy hacking hardware and pushing it to the limit. On this site (when it comes back) a guy discovered that there are up to 7 USB ports available. He downloaded some documentation on the chipset, cracked open his MacBook Air and did some voltage reading and sure enough there they were.

I think I’ll just carry a little 4 port hub around if I need to.
